Merged since 1985, the combined Chattanooga Symphony & Opera
Association is the only combined organization of its kind in the
United States. In 1992, Robert Bernhardt joined CSOA as full-time

The Tennessee Aquarium opened its new $14 million IMAX 3D theater in
May 1996. The 400-seat theater features a six-story high screen and
state-of-the-art digital surround sound. It is located next to the
Aquarium at corner of Second and Chestnut Streets.

of being the world's steepest passenger railway. Enjoy the panoramic
view from Lookout Mountain Station and the Victorian charm of the St.
